I recently received some comments in relation to my blog that I thought might benefit by being responded to via the blog rather than privately.  The first one was a request to know what Transactional Analysis (TA) is.

The other evening I watched a BBC4 documentary about the scientists who were engaged in developing a probe that would land on one of Saturn’s moons - Titan. This was to gather data so that they could understand its geology etc. It took up to ten years to develop the probe with many different setbacks - for example getting the technology small enough to fit inside the container and for the container to be sufficiently robust. However, before being commissioned for the Titan venture they had submitted proposals for another space project and they did not win this. Instead it was getting a probe on Titan that won the funding. Although disappointed, instead of being deterred the lead scientist returned to his base and, with his team, submitted a proposal for the Titan project – and won. So, that was hurdle one. Then they had a number of further hurdles in the development of the probe including the canister splitting just prior to the deadline. Again, undeterred they sent the plans ahead so that the other teams in Europe and the US could continue their preparation work.

First and foremost – choose the right keywords. Before switching on a campaign, think about the unique products or services your organisation offers that will encourage the potential visitor to click your advert. By identifying and leveraging your USP, you can easily rise above the competition by using keywords or phrases unique to your business. Always have a look at what you consider competition, see what keywords they are using (www.keywordspy.com offer free information on this). The danger however is bidding on generic keywords without using copy that will help you stand out.

At the beginning of 1991, Marshall Faulk was a wanted man - wanted by many of the nation's most prestigious football schools.  He had just finished a stellar senior season as a star high school player in New Orleans, and college coaches were camped outside his front door 24/7.

Jane Schulte is really quite remarkable.

It's the meeting for which you've been waiting. Finally, you've been able to secure a meeting with the CEO of the company you know you can help.  For the past year, you've been researching the company and developing relationships with as many people as possible.

There's no better way to improve the quality of information you receive from a potential customer than by asking short questions.  We all can recall far too many times when we've sat across the table from a customer we're trying to help – and we know we can help, if they would just provide us information about their needs and goals.
