About Jennifer McCready How do I even begin to tell you in words how much I love photography? How do I put into words something that made me who I am, in just a few years? How do I illustrate to you how much it all means to me... How HAPPY it makes me.. And even more importantly how photography completes me? Well here is my best attempt at conveying all of that to you ;) ”If I didn't have my camera to remind me constantly, I am here to do this, I would eventually have slipped away, I think. I would have forgotten my reason to exist. ~ Annie Leibovitz How it all started While attending a very artsy high school in my teens, I decided to take a photography class. After finding myself drawn to every word the teacher spoke and always receiving high grades, I thought... Hmmm... I think I have something here! We all know that when we are young, we are not fully sure of what we want to do for a living, or even what we want to go to school for... Well I didn’t anyway. So instead of following what I know I was meant to do, I decided to go to college for something else, something that really, was not what my heart was telling me to do. Three years ago, photography came back into my life.. FULL force.. And back into my heart. At the age of 32, I decided to go with what my heart told me to do, and started to go forward with my dreams! Not being able to go back to school, because of money, time and other circumstances, I decided to take full advantage of the internet to help me along with my learning. With the internet and the help of other photographers I am where I am today! Continually craving to learn new things, make new creations, and experience the world of photography to its fullest! Photography isn’t about rules, it’s about presenting what you want the world to see, how I see the world through MY lens. I see the world so differently now that I have put so much of myself into my photography, life seems so much better now. ”The camera makes you forget you're there. It's not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much.” ~Annie Leibovitz My Camera and I Are Best Friends I believe that I was meant to be a photographer, to show you how I see the world. I am constantly thinking, creating a picture in my head, whether I am looking at the same walls everyday, or exploring new sights. When I found photography my soul became awakened and I found my purpose my well being. When I have my camera in my hand I feel complete. I feel like it should be forever attached to me, never to leave my side. It means the world to me when someone allows me to capture their special moments, and trusts me to be the one to produce images for them that will last a lifetime. Not only are my images photographs to me, but also in a sense, works of art. Me and You, Create My Business As of two years ago, I decided to start my photography business. What keeps me happy is making my clients happy! I 100% believe that my shoots aren’t just photo shoots, but adventures, experiences and good times. I love working with natural light not only because it brings contrast and life to an image, but it allows me to explore many different settings and scenery to add to the quality of the images!
